About
Richmond Vanadium Technology (RVT) is an Australian minerals exploration company currently advancing its 100% owned Richmond – Julia Creek Vanadium Project in north Queensland.
The company completed its Initial Public Offering, listing on the Australian Securities Exchange in December 2022 and is focused on completing a Bankable Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Statement by Q4 2024.
The 1.8Bt Richmond – Julia Creek Vanadium Project has a completed Pre-Feasibility Study which demonstrated a technically viable and financially attractive development project. The Project has developed a metallurgical process flowsheet using proven conventional technology and filed a provisional patent with the Australian Patent Office relating to the method for concentration of vanadium ore.
Situated between the towns of Julia Creek and Richmond in Queensland, the project is around 500km west of Townsville and 400km east of Mt Isa on the main highway between the two centres.
The Queensland Government declared the Richmond – Julia Creek Vanadium Project to be a Coordinated Project in May 2022, making it the first critical minerals project to be awarded this status in the state.
Following the successful PFS, RVT appointed experienced study manager Peter Hedley as the Project Director for the Company’s Bankable Feasibility Study. DRA Global was appointed as engineering services consultant in June 2023 to work collaboratively with RVT to deliver the BFS. Specialist environmental consultant Epic Environmental has been appointed to deliver the Environmental Impact Statement and Environmental Authority and Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plan by Q4 2024, to support a future Mining Lease grant.
RVT has adopted the globally recognised World Economic Forum (WEF) Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics ESG framework which includes 21 core metrics across the four pillars of Governance, Planet, People and Prosperity. The WEF framework includes core Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) metrics, Science Based Targets, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). RVT released its baseline ESG report in September 2023.
