Environmental Impact Study

Specialist environmental consultant Epic Environmental has worked with RVT on the project for more than 5 years and has been appointed to complete the Environmental Impact Study and delivery of an Environmental Authority and Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plan to support a future Mining Lease grant.

The EIS details anticipated environmental impacts of the project on the environment, as well as proposing avoidance, mitigation and offset measures.  This includes everything from 12 months of baseline field studies including air quality and water monitoring, seasonal surveys of the local ecology, noise and vibration assessments, traffic assessments, climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, soils and land suitability and importantly, community and stakeholder engagement.  The EIS also considers impacts on the local community.

Epic is undertaking the EIS in parallel to the BFS and in collaboration with RVT and DRA.
